5 Wedding Guest Outfits

Wedding season is upon us, and after I posted this LK Bennett dress on Instagram, I had a couple of requests for wedding guest outfits. I have done wedding guest outfits on Liv Loves before (my weekly stories update of what I’m loving right now); but as the shops have now got more summery stuff in, I thought an update would be sensible!

To start with, I have a couple of rules I try to follow when finding a wedding guest outfit:

1.

This first outfit I have bought for a wedding in June. I know I’ll get loads of wear out of this gorgeous dress and the shoes will be great for smarter work days too, as well as with a couple of dresses I already have. I’m planning on wearing with my hair curled, this hot pink lipstick and a hot pink pony clutch bag I’ve had for years (I’ve added a similar one here!).

Dress, LK Bennett, £200 (20% discount)

Shoes, LK Bennett, £156 (20% discount)

Matte Lipstick in Candy Yum Yum, MAC, £17.50

Pink Clutch, Hobbs, £59

2.

I’ve also just bought this dress for a wedding later this month, as I have shoes and a bag already which would go perfectly (and my mum has a yellow fascinator I can nab!). The dress looks and feels more like Whistles than Zara! This’d look great with navy and yellow accessories mixed & matched. I’m then thinking of wearing my bright red/orange No7 lipstick for another colour pop!

Dress, Zara, £29.99

Yellow Shoes, New Look, £19.99

Navy shoes, LK Bennett, £156 (20% off)

Bag, Oliver Bonas, £32

Lipstick, No7, £10

3.

Animal print is still totally in, and I love this Topshop Zebra dress. This is another one which would also be great for work or at a BBQ! I’ve paired with red (I LOVE the shape of this clutch bag), but this’d look great with any pop of colour.

Dress, Topshop, £55

Red Shoes, Topshop, £28.50

Red Clutch Bag, ASOS, £20

Matte Lipstick ‘So Chaud’, Mac, £17.50

4.

This is a great example of a dress you can easily dress up for a wedding but then dress down with some white trainers and a denim jacket! These Dune sandals are identical to mine and I’ve worn them so often, they’ve been a great investment (don’t forget your heel stoppers!).

Floral Midi Dress, M&S, £55

Neutral Sandals, Dune, £68

White Clutch Bag, Jigsaw, £39

Lipstick, No7, £10

5. I spotted this yellow Warehouse dress a little while back and I’m glad to see it’s still in stock as it’d be perfect for a wedding, but equally lovely with sandals for a summer party or BBQ. I love colour blocking so I thought this would look great with red/orange accessories.

Open Back Dress, Warehouse, £44 (20% off)

Red Tassel Clutch Bag, ASOS, £12

Red Shoes, Topshop, £52

Lipstick, No7, £10
